Questions people ask
How do I play a song?
Search for it, open it and press the round Play button. Under the player, choose what plays: the famous part, the whole song, each hand on its own, the chords or the ending.
How do I slow it down?
Move the speed slider under the player to the left. The notes, the keys and the sound all slow down together, so you can follow every change.
What are falling notes, letter notes and sheet music?
Three ways to read the same music. Falling notes drop onto the keys they play; letter notes show each note’s name on a bar sheet; sheet music is the score. The keys light up in every view, with the finger to use.
I can’t hear anything.
Turn the volume up and check that no other app is playing. On iPhone, Super Simple Chords plays even with the ring switch on silent. On the web, press Play once: browsers start sound only after a tap.
How do I make my own song?
Open the Playground, pick a style and a mood and press “Make a song”. It plans an intro, verses, choruses and an ending. Press it again for another take, and Save to keep it.
Where are my songs kept?
In the app on your phone, or in your browser on the web. Sign in with your email address (a free account, no password) and they are kept in your account and show on every device where you sign in.
How do I sign in?
Open My music and choose Sign in, type your email address, and type the six-digit code we email you. No password.
How do I delete my account?
On the website open Your account; in the app open My music, then your account. Choose Delete my account: the account and everything it keeps are deleted at once, on every device.
How do I share a song with a friend?
Press Share. You get a link when one can be made, and always a song code that starts with SSC1. Your friend opens the link, or pastes the code into My music.
Is it free?
Yes. Every song, pattern and the Playground are free, and an account is optional.
